Mother’s Day

Every second Sunday of May, we are reminded of our debt: mother’s day. It’s a debt alright; you are around, fed and educated because your mother insisted. This insistence may have been a pain, motherly love comes in various colors and shades including – and more often than you think – the crusty kind hidden under thickening layers of pessimism. But I shall never forget the mother I once had sitting across of me in a European train compartment. She was a visitor from India in the traditional sari and an absolute genius in handling her son. The only way to describe it is to say, that her (six year old?) son was hopelessly in love with his mother. Truly a rare...

Handmade designs, hand written calligraphy, folding cards – we have them all. Especially 3D folding cards can be fun: laundry lines, hearts, carousels, butterflies, magic birds – it leaves the mind enchanted and throws a lifeline to the child inside you. Not only...

Whatever the reason might be, receiving these "just because" presents easily puts smiles on faces and uplifts the lowest moods. We have vases of mini dried flowers, for example, using sprigs of eucalyptus, lavender, baby's breath, caspia, statice and cereal that'll look great on office desks. There are also kraft-paper...

Trend Alert - Wine-Coloured Flowers

So, we’ve decided to bring you trend alerts from time to time regarding all things in the flower world: from bang on season colours and textures, of-the-moment blooms and hot styles gracing the tables of the swankiest hosts and hostesses. Yes, we do feel a little guilty categorising some things as hot which presumably means that some are not. After all, we work in an industry where there is beauty in almost everything. However, these trends are just that: trends. They come and go. So whilst we will always be interested in new hybrids and colours, new materials and new ideas, we, like most other people, will have our own firm favourites and there’s nothing old-fashioned about that! And, so, enough...
