Getting Ready for Chinese New Year

Christmas and New Year is already a matter of the past. It is 2017 and a not-at-all “trumped” up feeling of foreboding. We all feel it — the economy could be doing better. The writer of this has to confess that this had been niggling from underneath for quite a while.  My wife has gone out of her way not to make me feel like this but I wasn’t at my best with her, and she especially didn’t deserve this. After all it is our motto to “make someone happy”.  So everybody tunes up for Chinese New Year as the beginning for a hopefully successful business year despite the forebodings. Our Move

So if you've been following us on social media, you'll know that we are no longer at Kampong Glam. We are now rather cheerfully ensconced in the Basement of i12 Katong (112 East Coast Road, Singapore 428802). i12 is one of Singapore’s smaller malls, rather intimate and with plenty of good food inside and in the surrounding streets. She looks at me, and nods. “Five minutes!” “Yes Ma’am.” When stepping out from the shop you see to your left an antique dealer, just...

The Way to Make Someone Happy in Singapore

At Confetti Gifts, our team starts every day with one goal – to brighten someone’s day just a little bit. ‘Make Someone Happy’ is our slogan for a reason, and it’s a philosophy that shapes every one of our decisions. What makes people happy? Something beautiful, or delicious, or cuddly, or something that reminds them of their home, their friends or their family. Our store was founded on two ideas: that handcrafted is always better than factory-made, and you know your loved ones better than anyone. That’s why our range is so diverse. We’re not just a florist, a baker, or a gift shop; we’re all three and more. We try to balance quality and range, giving you the widest possible...
